Button workshop with polymer clay

I am having a polymer clay button workshop in Madeby Helsinki store on 28.9.2013. Anyone is welcome to join the workshop any time! Workshop is open from 12-15 and it costs 15 euros to participate (you can pay with a credit card or cash). You can make 8 buttons with the price (extra buttons 2e per one).  You don't need to bring anything yourself, because I will bring all the needed materials. Price also includes tea or coffee.

You can press polymer clay buttons with different fabrics, make 3d buttons by hand or just enjoy mixing pretty colors together. These buttons are very easy to create with children aswell!

These buttons have been patterned with lace.

Striped earrings

Feeling the urge to make something totally new for my shop, I created a set of striped earrings. I also snatched a pair for myself... :P I was surprised how light and fun looking these are. Let me know what you think!

You can find some of them in my Etsy shop.

Polymer clay cat hairpins

I decided to make some new products! I have always loved hairpins and wanted to make some. Finally, I have finished my first hair pins!

I know there will be more to come, as I need to stock up the shop in city center. :)

Trip to Fiskars

I went on a trip to Fiskars for the first time in my life. The day was very hot and moist. Sun was shining and we were sweating! I was there with my husband Tero and two other friends who also had never visited Fiskars. I highly recommend the place to anyone who loves handmade arts and crafts. There are many houses and buildings full of great handiworks! I spent some money and bought a handmade bottle opener (12 euros) and some door curtains (40 euros) (that keep the mosquitos outside).

Here are the pictures from the trip!

My husband and our lovely dog Kaveri!

My hubby :)

A small bridge in the middle of the city.

I loved how the house is more visible in the water .

A detail from a brick. I haven't seen this kind of walls before.

Pretty wall.

More pretty wall.

This is where I bought my bottle opener.

So many nice things made out of iron.

There is a wood fire kiln outside.

Just a pretty wall.

This is a detail from an art piece.

Wedding accessories

I made these accessorien for the weeding I am attending this sunday. I am wearing a dark blue (vintage like) polka dot dress with these. Maybe I will get some pictures taken with the dress on too, well see!

These are also my first attempts for a bracelet and a headband.

Bracelet is made with polymer clay and some jewelry metal parts. This is also adjustable for different sized hands. My hand is fairly thick so I need that adjusting possibility.

My friend agreed to pose here. Thanks Ella!

Used some polka dot pattern in this too so they will match my dress!

Here is the bride and me with my headband, earrings and bracelet.
