Ofelia market is coming 8.12!

Ofelia market is turning 5 years this year. Its a lovely, small market in the heart of Helsinki. Admission is free and the seller spots are around 50-60 euros. It is held in the Kulttuuri Areena Gloria

This year I am going there with someone I got to know from The Finland Handcrafters Team in Etsy. It's great to get to know new people trough those Teams. She also makes some polymer clay items, aswell as scarfs etc. I will be bringing my polymer clay jewelry and some new items. Hopefully I will have lots of zipper pulls with me this year!

Auction for homeless dogs - Huutokauppa kodittomien koirien hyväksi

I decided to take part in this Christmas auction for homeless dogs. Some of you might know I have a rescue dog at home so they are really close to my heart. Nellin Shoppi gave three bookmarks for this auction. There are many different designers giving items for this auction and it is a good way to find christmas presents!

Striped earrings

Feeling the urge to make something totally new for my shop, I created a set of striped earrings. I also snatched a pair for myself... :P I was surprised how light and fun looking these are. Let me know what you think!

Polymer clay cat hairpins

I decided to make some new products! I have always loved hairpins and wanted to make some. Finally, I have finished my first hair pins!

I know there will be more to come, as I need to stock up the shop in city center. :)

Moustache and dinosaur brooch

Today I added some new items to my Etsy shop! The cute dinosaur brooch and the whimsical moustaches! Movember is coming soon and I am fully working to update my shop. I am also working on new unique colors for my stud earring collection (pictures soon!) :)

20 cats necklace, custom anniversary jewelry

I just love taking custom orders! 

I think it is so much fun to poke my brain around and wonder how to design something based on the customers needs. Usually I make 2-3 designs to get the end result that I end up with.  This spring has been good for me in the sense that quite many people have asked custom works from me. Usually the contacts come trough my Facebook page. 

A man contacted me about a custom design necklace for his wife. They have been together for 20 years, so he wanted to remember the wife with something unique. He has ordered things from me before, so he also knows my style pretty well. I suggested to make him a necklace with 20 different flowers (kind of like bouquet) made from polymer clay. His wife LOVES cats so he asked me to change the flowers into cats. So I needed to make a necklace with twenty different cats - one for each year they've been together. Absolutely  lovely idea, but proved more challenging than I first imagined!

I actually redid the idea three times before I got to the result I was happy with!

The necklace has twenty different color cat beads.
All in the shades of black, white and gray.

Life isn't straightforward, so I mixed the different
color beads and cats...

It's so much fun how the cats go up on
the other side and down on the other...

Cute animal necklaces and brooches by Nellin Shoppi

I have made a new design for cute animal necklaces and brooches. I have been working on them for about a week now. It all started when I began drawing them in my notebook and realized they would make very cute  products. Today I had my first photo shoot about them!

These will go with me to the next fair Korukarnevaalit on 27th.
